This property is situated on an interior parcel, but through historic research we documented it is closely proximate to a long ago filled tributary.  Moisture monitoring, coupled with boring samples and geotechnical analysis identified deficiencies in the soil, along with subsidence of the fill area as the source of massive structural issues within the dwelling.  Recommended retrofits included stabilizing the foundation and providing supplementary material to prevent further subsidence of the fill, and then ongoing monitoring.
